We couldn't be more proud of, Cooper Wise, a former UW Football quarterback who discovered a new passion at CrossFit 7220 just a few years ago. He was a key player in our last two WYAC titles and a constant example of hard work, dedication, smart training, and humility.
He battled a back injury last year which forced him to modify his training and focus on core stability and upper body strength. He left us in December to finish his nursing degree and resumed training at CrossFit NorCo in Fort Collins.
Luckily his back healed enough to allow him to participate in the 2017 Open where he placed 23rd in the region. With a few athletes joining teams or Masters division, Cooper moved into the top 20 granting him an invitation to the South Regional CrossFit Competition.
Cooper began the competition placed 47th and placing him in the lower heats. On day one of the competition he took first in his heats in both events and moved into 5th place overall heading into day two, earning him placement in the top heat where he competed with the best of the best.
Cooper continued to battle with the top athletes and ended up #13 in the region! Moving up 34 places from his original standing.
Cooper proved himself as "one to watch" with his amazing performance throughout Regionals. WAY TO GO COOPER!!!!!
